A five-member delegation led by Prof Dr Chen Ke-liang of the Third Institute of Oceanography, China on Monday called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique at the latter’s office of the university.
Others members of the delegation were Dr Aijun Wang, Dr Chen Fenggui, Dr WU Jianwei and Engineer Huang Haiping. Chairman of the Department of Oceanography of DU Prof Dr Kawser Ahmed was present on the occasion.
During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs on oceanography by the University of Dhaka and the Third Institute of Oceanography, China.
They also discussed the possibilities of exchange of teachers, researchers and students between the two institutions. They agreed to sign a MoU in this regard soon.
