The people of minority communities in Srimongal Upazila of Moulvibazar district complained that a locally influential man has been occupying minority’s land and demanded toll from them under threat.
He is identified as Idris Ali Biku, who has been facing half a dozen criminal cases. Some of cases were filed by police for throwing petrol bombs in buses. But local police did not take any action against him as he getting shelter of MP Vice-Principal Abdus Shaheed of Srimongal.
None dare complain in Police Station against Idris Ali for security reason.
It is alleged, Idris Ali became a rich man of several crore of taka by toll collection, occupying minorities land and properties.
Idris Ali tried to fire communal violence in Srmongal publishing false news stating that Hindu teacher is teaching Islamiat in different primary schools of Srimongal.
