Five policemen, including the OC of Kazipur Police Station, were closed on Thursday on charge of torturing a college girl for six days in custody in connection with a murder case.
The action was taken against Kazipur Police Station OC Abdul Jalil, investigation officer Abdur Razzak, sub-inspector Asfakur Rahman, constables Roni Khatun and Sima Khatun.

Subhash Chandra Shaha said the police officials have been closed on charge of torturing the female college student.
Departmental actions will be taken against them after further investigation by a probe body, he added.
Second officer Shafiqul Islam has been appointed acting OC of Kazipur Police Station. The female college student, Shapla Khatun, 21, was arrested on suspicion of her involvement in a murder in Kazipur on January 21.
On January 27, the police produced her before the court of a Judicial Magistrate and filed a remand petition against her.
