Objective journalism for people’s welfare stressed

Speakers at a view-sharing meeting with media personnel underlined the need for objective journalism so that the country can achieve the SDGs through coping with the existing challenges.
Referring to the enormous aspects of objective journalism towards taking forward the nation successfully, they said the media should work together for depicting the successes so far achieved through maintaining ethics of journalism.
The observations came recently in the meeting styled “Historic Success of Attaining Capacity towards Overcoming the Least Development Status” at the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner in Rajshahi.
Press Information Department (PID) organised the meeting. Principal Information Officer (PIO) Quamrun Nahar addressed the meeting as focal person saying sincerity and honesty is the first step of integrity strategy. She also put emphasis on practicing integrity strategy in professional life. Quamrun Nahar said all quarters including the working journalists side by side with the government agencies should come forward and work together for successful implementation of SDGs for presenting a happy and prosperous Bangladesh to the future generation. She also urged them to reach the implementation scenario of the Prime Minister’s branding ten special initiatives to the public in general. Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi SM Abdul Kader, Deputy Director of Local Government Division Parvej Raihan, Superintendent of Police Abdus Salam and Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Salahuddin also spoke on the occasion.
