Shahana Begum, wife of retired WAPDA official S M Afzalur Rahman, died at Birdem hospital in the city early Thursday. She was 72.
Shahana, who was undergoing treatment at the ICU (Intensive care unit) of the hospital for various old-age complications, breathed her last around 2 am. Shahana Begum, mother of Samina Naz, Bangladesh deputy high commissioner in Mumbai, was survived by her husband, two sons and a daughter. She will be buried at Azimpur graveyard after her namaz-e-janaza.
