Anil Mukharjee, President of Baba Lokonath Mandir of Bangladesh and adviser of Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad, died of stroke at Kolkata in India on Tuesday. He was 82.
He left behind his wife, five daughters a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death.
In separate messages, State Minister for Social Welfare, Advocate Promod Mankin, and President of Bangladesh Hindu Bouddha Christian Parishad, Maj Gen (retd) CR Datta Bir Uttam condoled the death of Anil.
They prayed for eternal peace of his departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
