National Martial Art competition begins

The Walton National Martial Art competition began today at National Sports Council gymnasium with karate event, said a Bangladesh Martial Art Confederation press release.
Aulad Hossain, founder of Bangladesh Martial Art Judo and Karate, formally inaugurated the four-day meet as chief guest.
Walton operative director head of games and sports FM Iqbal Bin Anwar was present as special guest.
Bangladesh Martial Art Confederation general secretary Hasan Uzzzaman Moni and other federation officials were also present on the occasion.
A total of 250 participants from Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Army, fifty eight martial art clubs and different associations are taking part in the meet, sponsored by Walton Group.
The final round of the completion begins today (Thursday).
The best players of the competition will be given chance to participate in the Sheikh Kamal Memorial International Martial Art competition starting in December.
Thirty countries are expected to take part in the tournament.
