The Board of Directors of Eastland Insurance Company Ltd. and its employees has condoled the sad demise of. M. Nurul Islam, one of the founding directors of the Company at 6.00 pm on September 2, says a press release.
His Namaj-e- Janaza was held at Al-Falah Mosque, Chittagong on 4th September, 2017. His Qulkhani will be held on 07th September, 2017 at GEC Convention Centre, Chittagong after Magrib Prayer.
M. Nurul Islam, was one of the founding directors of National Bank Ltd. and one term Chairman of the Bank. He was the Chairman/Managing Director of Eastern Fashion Ltd., one of the pioneers of Garment Industry, Islam and Company Ltd., age long C & F Agent, Import and Trading House and Star Metal industry, Jamson Makers & Packers Ltd., ECO Oil Products Ltd. and Nishi Green Fields Ltd.
He was First Vice President of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Senior Member of Chittagong Club Ltd. and was also involved with good numbers of socio-cultural organizations.
