Golam Sarowar Faruk, valiant freedom fighter and former mayor of Gournadi pourashava, died of prolonged illness at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University early on Thursday.He was 64.
He left behind his wife, one daughter and one son, relatives, friends and well-wishers to mourn his death.
He was buried at his family graveyard at Gournadi upazila of Barisal district.
