Lutfor Shah-Alam, senior security inspector of Bangladesh Television, died of brain hemorrhage at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday morning. He was 53.
Lutfor, brother-in-law of late journalist leader Altaf Mahmood, fell victim to a fatal road accident on Tuesday as a over speeding bus of Anabil Paribahan hit him at 1pm in front of his office.
He was rushed to DMCH, where doctors tried to revive him with emergency operation. But Lutfor breathed his last at 9 am.
Lutfor left behind his wife, eight-year-old daughter, a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
