Saidur Rahman of RTV died of kidney disease at Birdem Hospital in the city in early hours of Thursday. He was 56.
He left behind his wife, a daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
He was buried at his family graveyard in Joypurhat after namaz-e-janaza.
