Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Sunday said the government will build a tunnel from Airport Railway Station to Shahjalal International Airport financed by Asian Development bank (ADB).
Haji Camp will be connected too with the tunnel, he said at the board meeting of Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority (DTCA) held at Nagar Bhaban, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
Stating that feasibility study for metro rail project in the capital will start next February, the Minister said metro rail route-1 has been finalised which will be constructed along a route starting from Dhaka Airport and going through to Kuril Flyover-American Embassy-Rampura-Malibagh crossing-Mouchak via Kamalapur Railway Station.
