Obaidul confesses Risha killing

Obaidul Khan, arrested in connection with the murder of Willes Little Flower School and College student Suraiya Akhter Risha, on Monday made confession to a Dhaka court admitting his involvement in the killing.
The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court Magistrate Ahsan Habib on Monday recorded the confessional statement made Under Section 164 of
the Criminal Procedure Code.
The accused made the confessional statement on the 4th day of his six-day remand.
On September 1, the CMM Court put Obaid on a six-day remand to quiz him in connection with the killing of Risha, a Class VIII student. On August 31, he was arrested from Domar upazila of his home district Nilphamari.
Risha, 14, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on August 28, three days after she was fatally stabbed by tailoring shop employee Obaidul Khan on the foot over-bridge in front of her educational institution in Kakrail area.
She achieved GPA-5 in her primary terminal examination in Class V and was preparing for the same result in the Junior School Certificate Examination this year.
