The law enforcers arrested at least 480 leaders and activists mainly of BNP and Jamaat on Thursday, rising the total number of arrestees to 1980 in the last four days, police and local sources said.

Chittagong: Police arrested at least 76 people of BNP-Jamaat from the different parts of the Chittagong metropolitan area, police said.
Rajshahi: Police arrested at least 38 BNP-Jamaat activists from different places in the city in separate drives.
Sylhet: The law enforcers arrested al least 32 BNP-Jamaat men from the district town.
