Bangabandhuke Nibedito Padaboli (Poems dedicated to Bangabandhu, the Father of the Nation, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman) edited by Milon Sabysachee. Published by Malek Mahmud, Siddikia Publications, 38/3, Banglabazar, Dhaka-1100. Cover Design by Hashem Khan. Price : Taka-550/-

As many as two hundred and thirty seven poets of Bangladesh have ventured to dedicate poem each one respectively paying homage to the father of the Nation with due regards along with the mourning image in this recent publication Bangabandhuke Nibedito Podaboli.
It is needless to describe how much pains and pathos of the tragic ends of the lives of the nearest and dearest relatives along with our Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family members were tragically shot dead at his 32, Dhanmondi residence and elsewhere without any defensive resistance at the very location nearest the Dhaka Cantonment that can never be sufficed by a very few such poems that we read here in the book under review. However we can refer here to the tragic ends of Abraham Lincoln of the USA and Mr Gandhi of India along with our own Father of the Nation, our national sentiment of compunction can never be covered with a few words.
The human destiny is as such can ever be verified within the inhuman beasts in man! Not even comparing the animals of the jungles! Let’s cry in the wilderness chewing the savages of the history of the world of ours till now!
However, thanks Poet Milon Sabysachee for his earnest endeavour to compile so many poems on our revered Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman whose tragic poetry of self-dedication for the freedom of his countrymen would ever be remembered throughout the light and air of his free country Bangladesh.
The cover design is delighting with the ever-heroic face of the National Hero Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by the apt artist Hashem Khan. Everybody should read each poem of the book. n
