NSC takes massive project for talent hunt

The National Sports Council (NSC) has taken a vast project of training programme 2015-16 at a cost of Taka 15.10 crore with the help of 31 sports federations in order to search talented athlete from the grass root level from districts and upazilas level at all across the country.
This programme also included development of sports ground, renovation and training.
NSC joint secretary Ashok Kumar Biswas told BSS on Saturday that the present government has taken initiative to arrange sports training programme for the sportsmen from the grass root level in order to improve the standard of sports so that our athletes should be able to participate in the local and international sports events with good reputation.
If this kind of initiative would have been taken regularly, a large number of talented players will be able to come out from each discipline and if such kind of program continues on regular basis, the players would get scope to expose their talents in their respective disciplines
Ashok, however, said it would largely depend to organize more programs like these by NSC in future if this present taken by them becomes successful with numbers of new talented players coming in these discipline.
