Nowfel emphasises on tech edn for knowledge-based economy

Deputy Minister for Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel MP has emphasized on acquiring vocational and technical education in addition to general education in order to reap the benefits of knowledge-based economy.
Speaking as the chief guest at the scholarship distribution program for the indigent and meritorious by the Chattogram District Council on Friday afternoon. He said, there is no alternative to education in the knowledge-based economy we are talking about. We could not even go around the idea of the father of the nation’s education after losing him in 1975. His emphasis was on basic education and practical education.
He spoke about skill-based education including agriculture, technical and health education which we see today in China, Japan, Korea, Singapore. We could not walk that path without losing him he added . He spoke of moral and humanitarian education. “
Deputy Minister for Education Nawfel said, Since taking office, the Hon’ble Prime Minister has been emphasizing on skills and outcome based education. Huge industrialization and projects are being implemented in Mirsarai and Maheshkhali. We are being educated so that we can change our mentality.
It’s okay to take a college or university degree but practical skills must be acquired.Chairman of Chattogram Board of Education Professor Pradeep Chakraborty was the special guest at the function which was presided over by District Council Chairman MA Salam.
