After the incidents of ATM card forgery at three commercial banks’ booth, a customer of BRAC Bank has become the latest victim of such kind of forgery.
Fraudsters used forged credit card of one Prito Reza, a customer of the bank, in a shopping center in city on February 20 (Saturday). Reading an SMS on his cell phone about the expenditure of Tk 24,900, Prito checked his wallet and found the card there.
Immediately after he knew it, he made a call at the call center of the bank and got instructions about submitting a written complaint about the incident during the office hour.
Prito submitted the complaint with the Banani branch of the bank in city on February 22 (Monday). He, however, was not informed when the money he will get back.
When contacted, BRAC Bank Head of Communication Zara Jabeen Mahbub told The New Nation that they are investigating the matter. She, however, assured the client of giving back his money.
