Thatched houses of several villages under Abhaynagar upazila and Nawapara Municipality in Jessore were badly damaged as the seasonal storm nor’wester lashed over the area on Friday evening.
Dwellers told New Nation that the nor’wester swept over a vast area of Abhaynagar upazila and Nawapara Municipality causing thatched houses damaged, cutting electric wires and uprooting big trees on Friday evening.
Estimates of damages caused by the storm could not be known immediately.
