Amina Ahmed, mother-in-law of Minister of Cultural Affairs Asaduzzaman Noor, died of old age complications at city’s Labaid Hospital early on Thursday at the age of 85.
She was under treatment at the hospital, said an official release.
She left behind five daughters, a son, relatives and admirers to mourn her death.
Amina Ahmed worked for longtime with the fortnightly magazine Dipok.
She was buried at Banani graveyard on Thursday afternoon after Namaz-e-Janaza at the residence of the Minister and Cultural Affairs at New Ratan Colony, New Baily Road in city.
