Non-Resident HC of Uganda calls on FM

The Non-Resident High Commissioner of Uganda Elizabeth Paula Napeyok called on the Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister at his office here on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the Ugandan envoy invited the Bangladeshi entrepreneurs to invest in Ghana’s agriculture, agro-processing, milk processing and ready-made garment sectors for the benefit of the two countries.
In this connection, she informed the minister that there were immense scopes to work together in those fields by setting up industries in the East African country.
The envoy also appreciated Bangladesh’s huge development in socio-economic sectors during the last couple of years.
Bangladesh’s Honorary Consul in Uganda Abul Hossain, who was present at the meeting, informed the meeting that Bangladesh has already started export of pharmaceutical products and ready-made garment to Uganda and process are on to export mosquito nets to Uganda.
The foreign minister proposed to hold foreign secretary-level meeting of the two countries in Dhaka for further enhancing bilateral ties between Bangladesh and Uganda.
