Rescue of kidnapped gold trader: Non-coop of law enforcers alleged

A press conference was held yesterday morning at Chittagong Press Club hall jointly organised by the family members of one kidnapped gold trader of Chittagong and Mukhtijudda Sangsad, Chittagong unit .
 Mentionable that gold traders Biplob Kumar Roy was abducted from Chowmuhani of Noakhali district on March 6 last.
 He was conducting a Jewellery business in the name of Roy Shilpalaya at Basundhara Market of Chowmuhani for the last 12 years. The abducted gold trader hailed from Hathazari upazila in Chittagong .
 Victim Biplob yet to be traced out anywhere for the six months. Younger brother of the abduct Biplob, Rajib Kumar Roy read out the written statement before the newsmen.
 The press meet was told that in connection with the abduction of Biplob, two separate GDs have been lodged with the Chowmuhani Thana and Hathazari thana in the meantime. The written statement also told that in the meantime, a number of unanimous mobile calls demanded ransom Tk.27 lakh from his family members for resolving the debt of Biplob immediately.
This was also informed to the law enforcers with mobile numbers but no action is yet taken by the concerned agencies. Besides, father of the victim Dulal Chandra Roy, a reputed freedom fighter informed the matter to IG Police, concerned Police super, RAB etc for intervention in the matter, the press meet said.
 Among others, Deputy commander of Mukhtijudda Sangsad Shaidhul Hoque Chowdhury, Asstt. Commander Kalilur Rahman, SM Yousuf Chowdhury were present on the occasion .
