The government has requested all ministries and departments, offices and agencies under cultural affairs ministry, public university authorities, deputy commissioners and recipients of Swadhinata Padak and Ekushey Padak to send nominations and proposals for Ekushey Padak 2016 to the cultural affairs ministry by November 22, 2015.
Like in other years, the Ekushey Padak would be awarded in 2016 as per the rules for outstanding contributions of individuals, groups or institutions in the language movement, art and culture, Liberation War, journalism, research, education, science and technology, economy, social service, politics, language and literature and any other field determined by the government, said an official release on Thursday.
