No tourist in Jafflong Tourism business in dire straits in Sylhet

Jafflong is one of the major tourist attractions of Bangladesh which is located under Sylhet district. Every year thousands of tourists visit this place particularly during winter. However, the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic and the countrywide lockdown have caused havoc to the tourism business in Jafflong during last more than one year.
The livelihood of thousands of local people depends on the tourism trade in Jafflong. There are different hotels, restaurants, resorts and shops in this locality which swarm with tourists but this scenario has changed because of Covid-19. All these things have been closed down due to the ongoing lockdown.
The tourist guides have become jobless. Now there are no tourists in Jafflong as a result of which people who deal in tourism are passing their days in uncertainty.
The local traders have urged the government to allow tourists to visit Jafflong on a limited scale.
According to Wikipedia, Jafflong is a hill station and tourist destination in the Division of Sylhet.
It is located in Gowainghat Upazila of Sylhet District and situated at the border between Bangladesh and the Indian state of Meghalaya, overshadowed by subtropical mountains and rainforests.
It is alleged that the land grabbers occupied government khas land and reserved forestland and extracted stone by cutting small hills polluting the environment of Jafflong.
They also established crushing mills on the forestland without permission from government.
