Issuing a note of warning, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Thursday said there will be no place for drug traders in the city.
“Actions will be taken against them following the list made based on intelligence information,” he said while inaugurating an anti-drug campaign of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in Farmgate area.
The DMP launched the campaign with the slogan “Avoid Drugs, Save Yourself and Save the Next Generation”.
The minister said the anti-narcotics drive that began across the country after Prime Minister’s announcement of a ‘zero tolerance’ stance against drugs will continue to build a drug-free Bangladesh.
He also underscored the need for every family to take care of its members to save them from the aggression of drugs, urging people to stand against the menace.
