Staff Reporter: No new case of coronavirus infection found in Bangladesh in last 24 hours, Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) said it on Saturday.
It said also that four more coronavirus infected patients released from hospitals after getting fully recovered, taking the recovery number to 15 so far, IEDCR said.
“There is no new patients were detected in the last 24 hours in our country. So far, the numbers of confirmed cases remain at 48, while total 15 patients have been recovered,” said Professor Dr. Meerjady Sabrina Flora, Director IEDCR, at a press briefing in her Mohakhali office in Dhaka.
Asked about community transmission, Dr Md Habibur Rahman, Director of Management Information System, Directorate General of Health Services, said journalists, “We have not noticed any clear case of community transmission in the country yet.”
So far, five people died from the virus in Bangladesh since March 8.
