The Jagannath University (JnU) authority decided to give certificates to its 30 thousand students without any kind of formalities or convocation.
A notice regarding this was provided recently from the office of the Controller of Examinations.
It mentioned that the students admitted under the university and under the National University (NU) would be able to take the certificates.
The certificate will be awarded without any kind f formalities or convocation.
However, students expressed their dissatisfaction with such declaration saying a major expectation of the university life is a black gown and certificate taking formally. In September 2005 the Jagannath College converted into a University through passes a law.
