State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan on Thursday said the government has not yet got any information from the Indian government over channeling Saradha chit fund to Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.
“We’ve communicated with India following media reports over the matter but didn’t get any response from the Indian side yet,” he told reporters at the Secretariat.
The State Minister further said: “The government is working to check militancy, and a taskforce committee is working to find out the sources of terror financing.”
Asaduzzaman said Bangladesh will never allow its territory to be used by terrorist or militant outfits.
Over the reported deaths of two Bangladeshis in a grenade explosion at a house in Burdwan town of West Bengal on October 2 ‘while making bombs’, he said the Indian government is yet to inform us officially in this regard. “We’ll take necessary action after getting official response from India,” the junior minister added.
