Criminal law expert Justice (retd) Mansurul Haque Chowdhury, former law minister Barrister Shafiq Ahmed and senior lawyer AFM Mezbah Uddin were scheduled to appear in court on behalf of the accused Sayem Sobhan Anvir.

On April 27, the court had imposed a travel ban on Bashundhara Group’s MD Sayem Sobhan Anvir in a case filed for inciting Mosarat Jahan Muniya to commit suicide, however, he went abroad before this order issued.

Earlier, victim Mosarat Jahan Muniya’s sister filed the case with Gulshan Police Station against Anvir.

Police recovered the body of Muniya hanging from the ceiling fan at her rented flat at Road-120 in Gulshan-2 on April 26.
