Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) machine was installed at Wazed Miah Research Centre of Jahangirnagar University (JU) on Thursday for conducting advanced research.
JU Vice-Chancellor Prof Farzana Islam inaugurated the installation of the machine at the seminar room of Wazed Miah Research Centre on the campus.
Addressing the function, Prof Farzana said the NMR machine would add new dimension in advanced research opportunities in the university.
“Such type of instruments enables us to materialise complex scientific experiments easily. Scientists, teachers and researchers at this university will be highly benefited’, she added.
Chaired by Director of Wazed Miah Research Centre Prof Khabir Uddin, former JU VC Prof Shariff Enamul Kabir, Prof Md Moniruzzaman, former Pro-VC Prof Abul Hossain and Treasurer Prof Sheikh Md Monzurul Huq, among others, spoke at the function.
Teachers under the Mathematical and Physical Science Faculty and Biological Sciences Faculty took part in the function.
