Nine including school teacher killed in road crashes

At least seven more persons were killed and several others critically injured in separate road crashes across the country on Monday and Sunday night.
In Chuadanga, at least four persons were killed and five others seriously injured in a road crash involving three vehicles in Jibannagar upazila of Chuadanga on Sunday night.
Accident took place when a bus, a auto-rickshaw and a three-wheeler
 collided around 6:15 pm on Chuadanga-Jibannagar Road at Uthali Mollahbari, leaving the four persons, all passengers of the auto-rickshaw, dead on the spot and five others injured.
The deceased were identified as Rabiul Islam, 32, son of Aftab Ali, his wife Shyamoly Khatun, 28, of the upazila, Uzzal, 34, son of Fakir Chand of Maheshpur upazila in Jhenaidah, and Jahangir Alam, 30, son of Ramjet Ali of Chuadanga sadar upazila.
On information, members of Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed in and recovered the bodies form the spot.
Gopal Chandra Das, Deputy Commissioner of the district told news media that the injured were taken to the upazila health complex.
In Dhaka, A motorcyclist was killed and another injured when their vehicle crashed into a road divider in the City’s Hatirjheel area on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Rifat, 18, son of Md Liton Miah, and the injured as Sajib, 19, residents of Agargaon Taltola government staff quarter.
Sub-inspector Md Bachchu Miah, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police outpost, confirmed the matter to media.
The injured were rushed to the hospital where doctors declared Rifat dead.
In Sirajganj, a passenger named Mokhlesur Rahman, 36, was killed in a road accident in Selanga of the district.
The incident happened in front of the New Janata Highway Hotel on the Dhaka-Bogra Highway on Monday noon.
Abdul Kader Jilani, Officer-in-charge (OC) of Hatikumrul Highway Police Station said.
