Nine fishermen laid to rest

The nine fishermen were laid to eternal rest on Tuesday whose bodies were recovered after missing in a trawler capsize hit by cyclone Bulbul in the Meghna River on Sunday.
They were buried at their family graveyard in Charfasson upazila of Bhola district.
Earlier, members of Bangladesh Coast Guard and police recovered the bodies from the sunken trawler at Bahadurpur on Monday night.
The victims are: Kamal Dalal, 35, son of late Nurul Haque, Hasan Mollah, 38, son of Quader Mollah, Nur Nabi Bepari, 30, son of Quader Bepari, Mofiz Matabbar, 35, son of Salimon Bepari, Nazrul Islam, 35, son of Yasin Patowary, Kabir Hossain, 40, son of Moslehuddin Majhi, Billal, 32, son of Ismail Khan, Abbas Munshi, 44, son of late Mujibul Haque Munshi, and Rafique Biswas, 44, son of late Jamal Biswas of Abdullahpur in Charfasson upazila.
District Administration has formed a two-member probe body to investigate the incident.
Each of the victim’s family received Tk 25,000.00 said Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Masud Alam.
A fishing trawler, with 24 fishermen on board, was returning from Chandpur on Sunday when it capsized in the river’s Elisha point in the afternoon. Thirteen managed to swim ashore. Four fishermen still remained missing in the incident.
In Barguna and Bhola, 51 fishermen remain traceless after they had gone to sea despite the storm warning.
