A Dhaka court yesterday adjourned the hearing on charge framing in the Niko graft case filed against BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and others till October 5.
Earlier, Thursday (November 4) was fixed for discharging hearing on behalf of Khaleda Zia and her council Masud Ahmmed appeared in the court. As the lawyer was able to conduct the hearing partially, Judge Sheikh Hafizur Rahman of the Ninth Special Judge Court of Dhaka fixed December 7 for next hearing.
On March 2, Khaleda Zia’s lawyer appealed to the court to allow her appear in the court through the lawyer under the Section 205 of the Code of Criminal Procedure while the court granted the appeal after hearing.
