AP, Nigeria :

The Nigeria Football Federation has chosen Frenchman Paul le Guen as the new coach of the national team.
The NFF says Le Guen’s appointment depends on him finalizing a contract with the federation executive committee.
The NFF says Le Guen’s job title will be national team technical adviser, but made clear he was in charge. Salisu Yusuf will be Le Guen’s assistant coach.
Nigeria has been looking for a new coach since Sunday Oliseh quit in February, claiming the federation failed to pay part of his wages. Le Guen, 52, has previously coached clubs in France and Scotland, and the Cameroon and Oman national teams.
Nigeria failed to qualify for next year’s African Cup of Nations, and is focused on 2018 World Cup qualifying.
