Niaz draws 5th round in Delhi International Chess

GM Niaz Murshed of Saif Sporting Club split point with WIM M Mahalakshmi of India to secure 3.5 points after 5th round games in the 15th Delhi International Chess tournament now being held in New Delhi.
FM Mohammed Abdul Malek of Titas Club and FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman of Access Chess Club earned 3 points each.
CM Sohel Chowdhury of Titas Club and Mohammad Sherajul Kabir of Agrani Bank Daba Dal of collected 2.5 points each.
Nishit Kumar Pal of Morning Glory Chess Club secured 2 points, M Anisuzzaman Jewel of Hasan Memorial Chess Club bagged 1.5 points.
Mohammad Aminul Islam of Leonine Chess Club, M Ali Newaz Sarker of BCF Sports and Abdur Razzak bagged one point each.
In the day’s other 5th round games were held today (Thursday), FM Malek beat Sunyuktha C M N of India, FM Fahad beat Chakravarthy YVK of India, CM Sohel beat Alok Sinha of India, Sheraj beat Sarvesh Kumar of India, Nishat lost to Wagh Suyog of India, Jewel lost to Doshi Moksh Amitbhai of India, Aminul lost to Nouri Alekhine of Indonesia, Newaz lost to Mandonca Leon Luke of India, Razzak lost to Sachin Malik of India and Asif lost to Chandan Palash of India.
