An executive director of a non -government organization was shot dead in front of his residence at Block -C, New Town in Jessore at around 9:30pm on Saturday.
Another youth was stabbed to death at Jessore Collectorate ground on Friday evening.
The dead were identified as Golam Kuddus Bhiku, 50, Executive Director, non-government organization Protyasha Samaj Kalyan Sangstha and Roni Hossain, 23, son of Ali Hossain from Shankarpur in Jessore town.
Abul Kalam Azad Iku, brother of the dead told that his brother died on way to Jessore General Hospital after being shot at near his New Town based residence at around 9:30 pm on Saturday. Unidentified assailants gunned him down.
Dr Habibur Rahman, Medical Officer, Jessore General Hospital told that the NGO executive director died before he was rushed to the hospital.’ He was shot at in the left chick’, he added.
Abul Bashar, officer in-charge (investigation) said the police were trying the catch the assailants.
Local inhabitant Yunus Ali told that the assailants also hurled several hand bombs at the time of killing.
In another incident, miscreants stabbed to death a youth named Roni while he was gossiping with his girlfriend at Jessore Collectorate Building ground on Friday evening. He was declared dead by Doctor Saidur Rahman, medical officer, Jessore General Hospital at 6:25pm.
Sub inspector Asaduzzaman of Kotwali Police Station told journalists that suspected miscreants Firoj stabbed Roni to death at Jessore Collectorate Park in the evening.
Akhtar Hossain, friend of the dead told that three youths fled the scene stabbing Roni to the dead, his girlfriend and I were talking with each other in the evening of Friday.
