Two more victims of the Narayanganj mosque explosion have died while undergoing treatment, taking the death toll from the incident to 33.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Aziz and Farid.
They succumbed to their burn injuries at the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery on Saturday morning and noon respectively.
Besides, three other burn victims – Amzad, Rifat and Kenyan- were fighting for their lives at the hospital while another one was discharged from the hospital as he made recovery.
Police and witnesses said the explosion took place around 8:45pm during Esha prayers on September 4 when the devotees just finished their prayers.
The explosion took place due to the leakage in the gas pipeline, leaving 40 people injured.
They were first taken to Sadar Hospital and 37 of them later sent to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
