Kishoreganj Pourashava arranged an openion meeting with journalist held at its conference hall on Monday noon.The new elected Mayor Md. Pervez Miah (Mahamud) was presided over the meeting. It was addressed among others by Former Press Club President M.A. Latif, Md. Sayeduzzaman, CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal, Senior Journalist Saiful Haque Mollah Dulu, Saiful Malek Chowdhury, Md. Ashraful Islam, A.K. Nasim Khan, City Press Club President Faizul Hoque Golap, Secretary Md. Anowarul Islam Bhuiyan and Noor Mohammad. Poura Coucillers, CEO, Executive Engineer town planning officer were also present.
Housewife commits suicide
BRAHMANBARIA : A housewife allegedly committed suicide over a family feud at Kanikara village in Nabinagar upazila of the district earlyyesterday. The deceased was identified as Kajal, 25, wife of Afzal Miah, a resident of the area. Police said local people spotted the body of Kajal hanging with a tree beside her house and informed police. Later, police recovered the body.
