Road accident kills one in Monirampur

Road accident killed on motor cycle rider and injured one in Monirampur on Tuesday morning. According to the report Khurshed Alom (32) a Grameen phone worker and his associate Litu (28) were moving towards Monirampur from Jessore Paul Bari more. When they were reached at Molam Mia’s Battala located at Hajrakati village under Monirampur a speedy brickfields track was hit their motor cycle from the back. Locals and police said Khurshed Alom crushed under the wheel of the track and died at the spot. But the other rider Litu escaped but injured seriously. After the incident local were barricaded Jessore Satkhira road but police rushed the place of occurrence and dispersed the move after one hour.
CCDB for Rana Plaza victims rehabilitation

Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh-CCDB started rehabilitation programmes for the victims of Rana Plaza. 5 day long programmes included Entrepreneurship Development Training & Business Development Services, Financial help for business, giz help for Trauma Counseling for the Rana Plaza victims started at Hope Foundation on Monday. Firstly 20 victims were given above facilities. CCDB Executive Director Jayanta Adhikary inaugurated the 5-day long training. CCDB Policy Development Advisor Mahabubul Isalam coordinates the training. CCBD Manager Seed Promotion Programme Mr Shamiran Biswas was Chief Training Assistant. The giz representative Dr Anisuzzaman, Hope Foundation Manager Mr Kalipado Sarker, Training Assistants Ishrat and Dibakor were present.
Disabled-friendly equipment distributed in Gopalganj

Human Development Forum (HDF), Gopalganj District Unit distributed disabled-friendly equipment among the disabled persons at Singarkul village under Gopalganj Sadar Upazila of the district on Sunday. The programme was financed by Bangladesh NGO foundation of Bangladesh Govt. They distributed 4 wheel chairs, 3 toilet chairs, 4 crutchs, 12 white canes, 12 eye glasses, ledgers, pens and vegetable seeds among the disabled. On the occasion, HDF, Gopalganj District Unit arranged a discussion meeting at its office premises at Singarkul village in Raghnathpur union of Sadar Upazila in the district they discussed on disabled develop & rehabilitation. M M Mainul Islam, ADC (Gen.) on behalf of DC, Gopalganj and Kazi Tarikuzzana, Deputy Director (DD), Social Welfare, Gopalganj spoke as the Chief and special guests respectively. Alamgir Hossain Mollah, Executive Director, HDF, Gopalganj District Unit presided over . Speakers said, Autistic child or people are not burden for the society, they are our blessing. So we should take care of them. Among others, Soroj Kanti Biswas, Chairman, Raghunathpur Union, Shaheb Ali Khan, Local elites, Didar Khan, local a freedom fighter were spoken on the occasion.
