Young man shot dead in Mymensingh

 A young man was shot dead and four others suffered bullet wounds during a clash between two groups of people at Digharkanda of Sadar upazila in Mymensingh on Saturday night. The deceased is Shimul, a resident of the area, Kotwali police officer-in-charge Kamrul Islam said Bhutto, son of Kadu chairman, and his cousin Ronny had long been at loggerheads over a contract work of Titas Gas office. As a sequel to the dispute, the two groups locked into a clash at about 11:00pm, leaving five people injured with bullets.
Husband killed by wife
A man was stabbed to death allegedly by his wife following a family feud at Bagajani village in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh early on Friday. The Bhaluka Model police said Billal Hossain, believed to be 27, locked into an argument with his wife Murshida Begum over family affairs. At one stage, Murshida hit Billal with a sharp weapon, leaving him critically injured. Hearing screams, local people went to the spot and found Billal lying on the floor in a pool of blood. Later, he died on his way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
Youth found dead in Jessore

 Kotwali police on Sunday morning recovered the body of an unidentified youth from Bablatala in Jessore town. Ilias Hossain , officer in-charge, Kotwali police station told that being informed by the locals the police recovered the body of the unidentified aged about 25 from under Bablatala bridge. ‘The body bore marks of injuries with sharp weapons,’ he added, ‘Reason of the killing could not be known immediately.’ Post mortem examination of the dead was made at Jessore Medical College Hospital on Sunday noon.
Farmer electrocuted in Kurigram

A farmer died from electrocution at Madhupur village in Ulipur upazila on Saturday afternoon. Jamir Uddin, officer-in-charge of Ulipur Police Station, said Angkon, 30, son of Sunil Chandra, came in contact with a live wire of an irrigation pump in his cropland at the village in the afternoon and was injured critically.Later he was rushed to Ulipur upazila health complex where doctors declared him dead.
Listed pirate arrested in Laxmipur
LAXMIPUR: Police arrested a listed pirate along with a rifle from Boyarchar area of Ramgati upazila on early Sunday. The arrestee was identified as Badsha Miah, a listed pirate and accused in several cases, including for robbery and abduction, filed with Ramgati police station. Mohammad Iqbal Hossain, officer-in-charge of the police station, said on secret information, a team of police conducted a drive in the area early in the morning while a gang of pirates was preparing for committing robbery, reports UNB.
