RAB mobile court fined 3 bakeries at Kishoreganj

A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB- 14) sentenced three businessman and fined Tk five lakh for manufacturing adulterated chanachur, bread, biscuit, nimki at Binnati under Tarail Upazila in Kishoreganj on Tuesday evening. Senior Magistrate Abu Taher Md. Sayeed pronounced the verdict on Tuesday evening. Banaful Bakaries Proprietor Azizul Hoque Motaher was fined Tk 2 lakh, Maria Food Products Proprietor Bazlur Rahman TK. 1.50 lakh and Kakali Bakaries Proprietor Ishaq Mia Tk. 1.50 lakh.

Al Tazid Foundation distributes blankets in Sylhet

Al Tazid Foundation distributed 500 pieces of quality blankets among the cold-hit distressed people of Dakshin Surma Area on Sunday afternoon to mitigate their sufferings. Mahmudus Samad Chawdhury MP, distributed the blankets at a ceremony arranged at Kajakalu Village in Dakshin Surma in Ward No-3 of the Lalabazar Union as the chief guest. With Chairman Asraf Ali in the chair, AL leader Saiful Islam, Muhid Hossain, Jahangir Alam Musik, Shohidur Rahman Member attended the ceremony as the special guests. On the occasion, the chief guest called upon the authorities of different voluntary organisations and affluent people to stand beside the cold-hit people to mitigate their sufferings.

1 killed in road accidents in Sylhet

A minor boy were killed road accidents in Sylhet districts on Tuesday. madrasah student Shahin Ahmed, 12, was killed and 11 people were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a human hauler at Chamelibag on the Sylhet-Tamabil road in the city on Tuesday afternoon. Officer-in-charge of Shahparan Police Station Nizam Uddin said the bus collided head-on with the human hauler in the area around 5pm, leaving 12 people, including Shahin, injured. The injured were whisked off to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital where Shahin succumbed to his injuries, the OC added. However, police seized the bus and the human hauler

Helper crushed under tractor in Joypurhat

Joypurhat: A helper of a sand-carrying tractor was killed as he fell under the wheels of his vehicle at Fiskar Ghat More on the Panchbibi-Kamdia Road in Panchbibi upazila on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Nayan Mia, 33, son of Chunu Mogla, a resident of Krisnapur village in the upazila. Officer-in-charge of Panchbibi Police Station Ashraful Islam said Nayan Mia died on the spot as he slipped off the tractor and fell under its wheels around 9am. Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy reports UNB.

One arrested with Yaba in Faridpur

 Faridpur: One drug peddler was arrested by the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-8 yesterday with 327 pieces of yaba tablets from Bhanga upazilla of the district.
According to RAB sources, acting on a tip off a team of RAB members led by Company Commander Major Mostofa Kaizar raid in the house of one Siddik Matubbar, 55 of Gajaria village of the upazila and arrested him with the yaba tablets. After interrogation arrested Siddik confessed to RAB that he is a professional drug trader reports BSS.
He was handed over to Bhanga police for necessary legal actions.
