Transport worker killed after collision on Barisal- Dhaka highway

Helper of a covered-van was killed after his vehicle collided with a bamboo laden truck on Sunday early morning at Illa area on Barisal-Dhaka highway under Gournadi upazila of Barisal district.The killed victim was identified as Saiful Islam Khan, 20, son of Yunus Khan of Hizla, Barisal.Gournadi highway police station in charge said the bamboo laden truck was parked at roadside and the covered van speedily fell on backside of the truck at about 6:00 am Sunday. Front side of the covered van was smashed and bamboos breaking glass of the covered van pierced the helper Saiful and he died at the spot.
Indian fake currency recovered in Shibganj

BGB members recovered Indian fake rupees amounting Rs. 17,50,000 from a house at House Nagar village under Monakasha union of Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district on Sunday afternoon.Lieutenant Colonnel of 9 BGB battalion Abu Zafar Mohammad Bazlul Hoque said, acting on secret information that a gang of fake note-traders has been making Indian fake currency, a team of BGB raided the house of one Mostofa at around 1-15 pm. After searching the house, they seized the currency and the note making machines. But sensing the presence of BGB, Mostofa fled away.
