Cyclone center in Kalapara

The two-storied primary school cum cyclone center was inaugurated at Chalitabunia village under Champapur union of Kalapara coastal upazila of Patuakhali district Thursday noon. Nurul Amin, Divisional Commissioner, Barisal, as the chief guest of the programme inaugurated it. Francis Bepari, regional director Caritas Barisal region, presided over the inaugural ceremony of the Dhankhali Board Government Primary School cum Cyclone Center building ended with a discussion and cultural function. Among others Nurul Amin, divisional commissioner as chief guest, Amitav Sarkar, deputy commissioner Patuakhali, Zahangir Hossain, upazila nirbahi officer Kalapara, Rintu Talukdar, Champapur union parishad chairman, Nupur Rani, headmaster of the school, addressed the programme.
30 injured in Kulaura road crash

Thirty people were injured in a road accident in Rampasa area under Kulaura Upazila at Moulvibazar-Borolekha road yesterday . The injured were admitted in Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital and Kulaura Health complex. Witnesses said a picnic bus of Dhaka Divine Textile staff about to visit Madhobkundo waterfall got hit by Shyamali Baribahan bus. Then the picnic bus was fallen dawn out of road.  
Unidentified body recovered in Bogra

Dead body of an unidentified person was recovered from under the Panchpir bridge of Bogra-Sarikandi road of Phulbari union under Shariakandi upazila of Bogra district recently. Police said that the deceased aged 32-35 years might be killed by unidentified miscreants few days back and left him under the bridge and after sensing the dead body local people informed police and police recovered the dead body.
Jamaat man held in Sylhet

Police arrested an activist of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami from Boroikandi in Dakshin Surman upazila on Wednesday. The arrestee was identified as Muzahidul Islam, 35, son of Suheb Ali, a resident of the village. Police sources said on secret information, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Muzahid at about 7.30 pm. Muzahid was arrested on charge of his involvement in vandalism and anarchy during hartal and blockade programmes of the 18-party alliance in the district, the sources added
Businessman robbed in Sylhet
Muggers snatched away Tk six lakh from a businessman at Ambarkhana in the city on Tuesday. Police and witnesses said Koyes Ahmad, a resident of Anamika Shahi Eidgah in the city, withdrew Tk six lakh from National Bank Uposhohor Branch and started for Ambarkhana Islami Bank Branch to deposit the money there.
