Training on tobacco control

A day-long training on tobacco control was organized by the Madhukhali Upazila Administration and in collaboration with the National Tobacco Control Cell, Health Department and Ministry of Family Planning at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shamim Ara presented the keynote address under the chairmanship of Ashikur Rahman Chowdhury. Upazila Agriculture Officer was the negotiator. Among others, Alvir Rahman, Upazila Education Officer, Sirajul Islam, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer. Md. Abdus Salam, OC, Shahidul Islam, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Parmis Sulata and others.
Cheque distributed among patients

The government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina has attached top priority for successful implementation of social safety net programmes for the distressed people. The safety net programmes were furthermore expanded to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Department of Social Services (DSS) in Kishoreganj arranged a cheque distribution tk. 57 lakhs among 114 distressed people and patients sufferings from various chronic diseases including kidney, Liver , heart, Stroke, in13 Upazilas of Kishoreganj at local Collectorate conference room on Tuesday.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Kishoreganj Mohammad Shamim Alam as chief guest and Civil Surgeon (CS) dr.Saiful Islam and ADC(General) Golam Mostafa were attended as special guests, while Deputy Director (DD) in DSS Md.Kamruzzaman Khan presided over.
Training workshop held

A day-long training workshop on 10 special innovative initiatives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was held in Lalpur Upazila of Natore organized by the Upazila Administration at the Upazila Parishad Conference Room on Wednesday . Natore Additional Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Sarwar inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shamima Sultana presided over the function. Upazila Parishad Chairman Isahaq Ali spoke as the special guest. Besides, Gopalpur Municipality Mayor Rokshana Mortaza Lilly, Upazila Vice Chairman Monowar Hossain Moni and others also spoke.
