Bicycles distributed among Ansar, VDP members

Members of Ansar and VDP rallies of Bangladesh Village Defense Force was held at Gafargaon in Mymensingh. The rally was organized by Upazila Ansar VDP at the Upazila Parishad Conference Room on Thursday. Director of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force Mymensingh Range Muhammad Noor Alam Siddiqui addressed the gathering as the Chief Guest under the chairmanship of UNO Md. Abidur Rahman. Ansar VDP District Commandant spoke as a special guest. Mostari Jahan Ferdous, Gafargaon Police Station OC (Investigation) Anwar Hossain, Pagla Police Station OC (Investigation) Sumon Chandra Roy, Upazila Cooperative Officer Mir Kashem, Ansar and VDP Officer Abdul Hamid Khan, Nazmul Palash and members of Ansar and Village Defense Forces of different unions. Later, various prizes including bicycles were distributed among the members of Ansar VDP and Village Defense Force.
Three held with phensidyl
RANGPUR: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested three alleged drug traders with 196 bottles of phensedyl from Natun Bazar area in Dimla upazila of Nilphamari district on Friday. “On a tip off, an operational team of the Crime Prevention Specialized Company (CPSC) of RAB-13 conducted a raid there and arrested them with phensedyl at 3:40 pm,” said a press release issued today by Senior Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-13 Flight Lieutenant Mahmud Bashir Ahmed. The elite force also seized three mobile phone sets and cash money and two motorcycles used by the detainees in carrying the contraband phensedyl.
