View exchange meet held

Saidpur (Nilphamari) Correspondent

A view exchange meeting was held at Saidpur Upazila in order to establish Nayabazar Adhunik Maa O Sishu Haspatal. The meeting was held in Nayabazar area of the city recently. The view exchange meeting was presided over by Awal Siddiqui, an honorable senior citizen of the area. Reputed businessman, Doctors, Professors, Ward Councilors of Saidpur Municipality, journalists and other people of different sectors took part in the programme to exchange their views in order to open the Hospital. Engineer Pervez Israel the Founder of the proposed Hospital said that the work of the Hospital building initiated by Aminul Israel Foundation will start soon.

Tool kit distribution held

The tool kit distribution and award giving ceremony titled ‘inquiry based learning to promote Science Education’ was held at Robertsongonj High School and College of Rangpur City recently. GEIST International Foundation with assistance of US Department of State under Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) Project organized the event. Some ten selected secondary schools of Rangpur – Lalmonirhat districts were given the tool kits and fourteen science teachers have been awarded for their inquiry based research development to promote the science education. Deputy Director, Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, Rangpur Zone, Rangpur, Md, Akhteruzzaman attended as Chief Guest with Head Teacher, Kaligonj Karim Uddin of Public Pilot High School and Super Admin of Rangpur Online School, Khurshiduzzaman Ahamed was present as special guest with Founder President and CEO, GEIST International Foundation, Biplob Kumar Dev in the Session Chair. Principal, Robertsongonj High School & College, Rangpur and Regional Director, GEIST International Foundation, Zakir Hossain moderated the event. Some fifty science teachers including the Head Teachers of the selected schools were present in the meeting.
 
LGED training workshop held

A day-long orientation on RCIP procedure titled one day connectivity improvement project was held at the Kamrul Islam Siddique Auditorium of Jashore LGED Building on Sunday. This workshop was presided over by Md. Ejaz Morshed Chowdhury, Supervising Engineer, LGED ,Jashore Region, Md. Kamrul Islam, Project Director, LGED, RCIP. LGED Jashore Executive Engineer A K M Anishuzzaman and Jashore Region Executive Engineer SM Nurul Islam spoke as special guests. Training Co-ordinator Md. Aminul Islam and LGED Jashore Assistant Engineer Sharmin Sultana. There are 75 participants including Executive Engineer, Upazila Assistant Engineer, Upazila Chairman, Union Chairmen of Jashore, Magura, Jhenaidah and Narail.
