Law and Order Committee meeting held

The monthly meeting of Ishwardi Upazila Law and Order Committee was held on Thursday at the Parishad Auditorium. UNO PM Imrul Kayes presided over the meeting. The chief guest was Upazila Chairman Bir Muktijoddha Alhaj Naib Ali Biswas. Vice Chairman of the Upazila Abdus Salam Khan and Atia Ferdous Kakli were special guests. The meeting also discussed in detail the issues related to road accidents, taking steps to ensure wearing masks and preparing and drinking harmful liquor made by foreigners in Rooppur project, theft in KPI-affiliated project area and other issues. Fertilizers distributed in Kapasia

Fertilizer has been distributed to marginal farmers at the initiative of Kapasia Upazila Agriculture Extension Department in Gazipur. These fertilizers have been distributed among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of Boro season of advanced technology paddy, wheat and jute seeds, storage and distribution project.The fertilizer was distributed by the Upazila Agriculture Extension Department on Wednesday noon. Upazila Agriculture Officer Sumon Kumar Basak said fertilizers were distributed under the 2021-2022 fiscal year. They are all registered seed producers and sellers.
Death anniv of Ananda TV chairman held
On the occasion of the second death anniversary of Abbas Ullah Sikder, the dreamer and founding chairman of Ananda TV, a commemorative meeting and doa mahfil was held at Kapasia Press Club auditorium on Tuesday after Maghrib. Ananda TV’s Kapasia Upazila Representative Masud Parvez Chowdhury organized the commemoration meeting and prayer mahfil.
