Krisak League’s confce held in Kachua

With the slogan “Krisak Banchaw Deshke Banchaw (Save the Farmers Save the Country)” the triennial conference of Kachua Upazila Unit of Bangladesh Krisak League was held in Kachua Upazila Parishad premises in Bagerhat on Saturday with its President Shikdar Hadiuzzaman Hadiz. Agriculturist Samir Chandra Chanda, President of Bangladesh Krisak League was the Chief Guest in the conference while it was ceremonially inaugurated by Abul Hashem Shipon, President of Bagerhat district unit of Bangladesh Krisak League. Adv Umme Kulsum Smrity, General Secretary of Bangladesh Krisak League, freedom fighter Sharif Ashraf Ali, Vice-president, Prof. Nazrul Islam Pannu, Organizing Secretary, Halima Rahman, Cultural Secretary, Md. Mirul Islam, Secretary, NGOs affairs, Murul Islam Badsha, Assistant Information & Publication affairs, members Mahfuza Sultana Rubi and Pran Krisna Bhago were present as the special guests. Moni Mallik was the main speaker in the conference. In the discussion meeting Nazma Sarwar, Chairman, Kachuia Upazila Parishad was present as the chief guest while Md. Saiful Islam, President (in charge), Upazila Awami League, Shikdar Kamal Hossain Kachi, Joint Secretary of Upazila Awami League were present as special guest. The discussion meeting was conducted by Abdus Salam Mallik, General Secretary of Upazila Krisak League.

Seminar on QC Labs in animal food safety held

Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock Muhammad Yamin Chowdhury was present as the Chief Guest at a seminar on ‘Role of QC Labs in Global Safety of Animal Food’ in Sylhet on Monday. The Secretary said the present government is determined to take the country to the pinnacle of development. Besides, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina does not want to see any corruption in any sector. The government has taken groundbreaking steps to maintain the international standard of animal feed by setting up state-of-the-art ‘Quality Control (QC)’ labs under the Ministry of Livestock. It will be possible to test the quality of all the animal food produced in the country and the country will go a long way in building a healthy human community. The meeting was held at an Elite hotel in the Sylhet City on Monday. Manzoor Mohammad Shahzada, Chairman of the Fisheries Development Corporation Hemayet Hossain Chowdhury and Sylhet Divisional Director of the Livestock Department Dr. K.S. Amalendu Ghosh, Director Dr Md. Mostafa Kamal also spoke at the meeting highlighting the activities of QC Lab Project. The meeting was attended by officials of various offices under the Livestock Department of Sylhet Division, journalists, teachers of different colleges and universities, dairy and poultry farms, feed mills, cabs, importers and exporters, Consumer Protection Department, Sylhet Fisheries Department and representatives of various quarters.
