The Kapasia Upazila Disability Development Council in Gazipur, with funding from the Qadri Charitable Foundation (KCF) and the implementation of the Center for the Rehabilitation of Paralyzed Persons (CRP) distributed food materials among people with disabilities affected by the corona virus.
The items were distributed among 48 persons those were – 15 kg rice, 3 kg pulses, 5 kg potato, 5 kg flour, 2 liters oil, 3 kg onion, 2 kg sugar, 1 kg salt at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Monday. AKM Golam Morshed Khan Pavel, UNO distributed food items as the Chief Guest at the Upazila Parishad premises under the chairmanship of Sanjivan Chandra Mallik, Founder President of Kapasia Upazila Disability Development Council. Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rubaiya Yasmin was present also present. Among others, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Kohinur Rahman, (CRP) CBR Co-ordinator Moslem Ali Hawlader, Rehabilitation Development Officer Rokeya Rushri Keya, Kapasia Upazila Disability Development Council Vice-President Md. Azizul Haque, General Secretary Rabeya Khanam, Organizing Secretary Md. Billal Hossain, Treasurer Fatema Akhter, female editor Kurdiya Akhter and others.
Old man killed in Aditmari train accident

An old man named Yakub Ali (96) was killed in a train collision at Aditmari in Lalmonirhat. The incident took place in East Dailjor area of the upazila on Monday. The deceased was identified as Yakub Ali, a resident of East Dailjor area of Saptibari Union of Aditmari Upazila. According to the locals, old Yakub Ali was returning home after receiving an invitation from East Dailjor area in the morning. At that time, he felt when the Burimari-bound Intercity Train from Lalmonirhat hit him. He was later rescued by locals and died on the way to the Upazila Health Complex.
Two held in Gafargaon

Pagla police arrested two inter-district thieves along with a CNG and a goat from Battala Bazar area under Pagla Police Station in Gafargaon upazila of Mymensingh on Sunday. The arrested are Pappu, son of Hasan Ali of Lathibari Village in Mymensingh Karshar area and Hannan, son of Nazrul Islam of the same area. According to police sources, Pagla police raided the post bungalow Battala area at night and arrested the thieves -Pappu and Hannan A stolen CNG and a goat were recovered from them. Pagla Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Rasheduzzaman said there are seven cases in different police stations of Mymensingh district in the name of the arrested thieves.
