3 drug traffickers arrested in Melandah

 3 drug traffickers along with 1,000 pieces of Yaba were held by police from Melandah Upazila on Saturday . The arrestees are Shafiqul Islam, 28, of Nangla village of Govindpur, Lebu Mia, 29, and Atikur Rahman, 30, of Cox’s Bazar Ramu Upazila. They were arrested from Gobindpur Nangla on the basis of secret news.
Drug trader held with Yaba pills in Sylhet

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested a drug trader along with 6,750 Yaba pills from Gowainghat upazila recently . The arrestee is Md Abul Hossain, 22, son of Abdul Kadir of Latu village in the upazila. A team of the elite force conducted a drive at Bagher Sarak area and arrested Abul with the Yaba pills around 7 pm, said a Rab-9 press release. Later, he was handed over to Gowainghat thana police.
Meeting on law and order held in Khulna
KHULNA: A meeting on law and order in Khulna district was held here on Sunday agreed to take stringent measures for eliminating terrorism, militancy and drug abuse from the society. The decision to take tough steps was extended at the monthly law and order situation meeting held at the conference room of the circuit house in the city. The meeting reviewed overall law and order situation in the district and
took some decision for the next course of actions to improve the law and order situation in the district. Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Iqbal Hossain presided over the
meeting while Additional Deputy Magistrate Md Yousuf Ali, Deputy Police Commissioner Ehsan Shah, Khulna Press Club President S M Nazrul Islam, among others, addressed the meeting. Speakers said business community will have to play a responsible role for ensuring fair price and sufficient supply of essential commodities during the month of Ramadan. The government will provide all necessary supports to the businessmen. They have to run their business with the right profit, they added. They viewed to prepare a strategic programme for consumers by ensuring smooth supply and price at affordable level of the daily essentials during the holy month of Ramzan . The meeting reviewed overall law and order situation and took decisions to control illegal drugs in order to save our young generation from its abuse. The meeting asked the law enforcers to take strong measures against the drug peddlers in collaboration with the community leaders and public representatives, reports BSS.
Police Service Week observed in Bhangura

Bhangura Thana Police brought out a rally to marking the birth centenary of father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of Police Service Week led by OC Md Masud Rana and Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Nazmul Haque on Sunday morning. Police Officers and Police Constables of Bhangura Thana took part in the rally . The rally started from Bhangura Police station and went round Bhangura Bazar.
